Supplier Quality Manager (d/f/m)

YOUR ROLE

  • Manage supplier performance as identified in portfolio to ensure quality of materials supplied at targeted levels
  • Work closely with purchasing and support new supplier onboarding with an active participation in, supplier audits, supplier selection and qualification
  • Work on improvement of supplier quality capability with a well defined and structured quality improvement plan and engagement with suppliers
  • Execute supplier quality agreement for performance level on annual basis and track progress
  • Conduct vendor assessment and supplier surveillance audits
  • Ensure that PPAPs  or other validation protocols are reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
  • Manage Supplier complaints for effective closure and assess 8D reports from the supplier for effectiveness.
  • Support supplier root cause analysis and corrective action planning, as required.
  • Verify implementation and effectiveness of supplier correction actions.
  • Collate and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities

YOUR SKILLS

  • Master's degree in Engineering and/ or Quality Management
  • Highly experienced in supplier quality and/or supplier development in the automotive sector or equivalent
  • Working knowledge on ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016
  • Practical working knowledge of Quality Core Tools ( APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA etc)
  • Lead Auditor Qualified ( IATF 16949 minimum - preference VDA 6.3 ) mandatory
  • Proven knowledge of incident investigation and resolution including root cause analysis (8D, A3) and expert in same
  • Understanding and interpretation of Material technical specifications, drawings etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal effectively and considerately with a wide variety of individuals and stakeholders
  • Fluent English and German language skills 
  • Willingness to travel internationally
