YOUR ROLE

• Design, document and communicate the strategic roadmap, logical and technical architecture of the platform
• Define and enable the decentralized development process to enhance the platform by platform product teams and support them hands-on with architecture validation, spike implementation and code reviews
• Evolve platform services and their technical implementation by leveraging vendor contacts and industry best practices and peer companies
• Define standards, guidelines and processes for platform excellence in regard to security, development and operation
• Align technology roadmaps with peer technology SMEs in dx
• Align use case and data product roadmaps with the dxD use case consulting and data and analytics strategy teams
• Act as the architect for platform engineering and be an expert in designing and evaluating solution architectures for data and analytics use cases and platform services
• Bring experience and vision to our team and draw, prototype and communicate platform architecture, apply standardization and innovation to support platform effectiveness
• Work with data product teams to enable key initiatives and digital products by understanding and solving their requirements and with that drive the evolution of the data platform at Henkel

YOUR SKILLS

• Excellent university degree in computer sciences or comparable disciplines
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution architecture for data and analytics use cases, ideally in enterprise scale data warehouse or data lake deployments, data mesh or lake house architecture experience big plus
• Project lead experience for data application or BI implementation projects
• Broad experience with cloud-based data and analytical technologies
• Experience in service-oriented architectures implemented on cloud hyperscalers, Azure preferred
• Hands-on coding experience in one or more common data manipulation and scripting language
• Good understanding of configuration management, infrastructure as code, versioning, testing and operation incl. continuous integration/continuous deployment concepts and code management solutions, i.e. GitHub, Azure DevOps
• Excellent English language skills, German is a plus
• Exceptional initiative and strong analytical thinking
• Ability to drive innovation and to solve complex tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment
• Effective communication and persuasion skills
